How the FrankEver shut-off valve works
A leak sensor tells you there is water on the floor. The valve is what stops more water arriving. Here is what it does, what is in the box and what fitting it involves.

How it works
- A sensor gets wetYour Flood Gen4, a leak cable or a Flood S detects water.
- The valve closesThe automation in the Shelly app tells the valve to close the main supply.
- Your phone tells youYou get a message, and you can open the water again from the app once it is fixed.
What you get
- Closes the water on its ownLink it to your sensors in the Shelly app. When one of them gets wet, the valve closes the main supply.
- Open and close it from your phoneTurn the water off when you leave for a holiday and back on when you land.
- Drinking-water certifiedStainless steel ball valve, NSF certified for drinking water. DN20 fits a 3/4 inch supply pipe.
- Still closes in a power cutRuns on a USB 5V supply and keeps a power reserve, so it can still close when the power is off.
- Temperature sensor includedA 1 metre sensor comes in the box, useful for frost warnings on pipes.
