Stop guessing which appliance is taking the money. Six sockets that each report what is plugged into them, and switch it off when it should not be running.
Free delivery. Ships from the manufacturer. Fourteen days to change your mind under EU distance selling rules.
What is in the box
Your meter already gives you one total for the whole house. These give you six separate numbers you can act on, and a switch behind each one.
Four sockets, each metered and each switchable on its own, plus USB. It replaces the extension lead behind your television, which is where standby actually lives.
Two roaming sockets for the appliances that live somewhere else. The freezer, the dryer, the dehumidifier, the second fridge in the garage.
One tells you what a thing is drawing this second. The other tells you what it will have cost you by Christmas. You need both, and your meter gives you neither.
How they work together
Every energy product sells you the third step. Without the first two you are automating a guess.
The deal
Comparison
Including where we lose. A meter in your consumer unit sees more than this does. It also needs an electrician, and you cannot take it with you.
| Your supplier's app | One smart plug | Smart thermostat | Paid audit | This kit | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tells you which appliance did it | No | One at a time | No | Estimates | Six at once |
| Separates the six things behind your television | No | No | No | No | Yes |
| Shows how long an appliance ran, not just how much | No | Yes | No | No | Yes |
| Acts on what it finds | No | That socket | Heating only | No | Yes |
| Keeps measuring after the first month | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | Yes |
| Needs no electrician, works in a rental | Yes | Yes | No | Yes | Yes |
| Measures hardwired circuits with no plug | No | No | No | Estimates | No |
| Monthly subscription | Sometimes | No | Sometimes | No | No |
The last row is the honest limit. Your water heater, hob, oven and fixed lighting are wired in and have no plug, so nothing here can see them. Measuring those means a meter inside your consumer unit and an electrician to fit it.

No, and not for any part of it. The strip replaces an extension lead, the plugs go in sockets. That is also why it works in a rented flat and why you can take it with you when you move.
No. Anything wired in has no plug for this to sit behind. If your heating and hot water are electric, this sees the appliance half of your bill and not the heating half. If you heat with gas, almost your entire electricity bill is plug loads and it sees nearly all of it.
It is enough to find the problem, which is the job. Four stay behind the television permanently. The other two roam: a fortnight on the freezer, a fortnight on the dryer, a fortnight on whatever you have started to wonder about. Most people have their answer inside a month.
It measures your own sockets, not your supplier's meter, so it does not care who bills you or what you pay. On a day and night rate it pays back fastest, because you can move the loads that will move.
The schedules run on the devices themselves, so they keep going when the router does not. What you lose while it is down is the graph on your phone, not the automation.
No. Both join your Wi-Fi directly and speak Matter, so they also work with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant without anything in between.
Nobody can tell you that honestly, because it depends on what you find. Households that can simply see their consumption use five to seven percent less, which is fifty to seventy euros a year on an average EU bill. What you do about the appliance you find is usually the bigger number.
The sockets tell you what things cost. Bulbs are the one load you can cut without giving anything up, because a dimmed LED draws less and a scheduled one draws nothing. Four bulbs, worth 39.60, for 20 EUR on this order only.
